NYU Wagner provides up to $14,500 of funding towards tuition and fees under the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program for each eligible US veteran student. Veteran’s Affairs will match funding for a maximum benefit of $29,000 each academic year. The size of the Yellow Ribbon award is determined by the number of other benefits provided to an eligible student. You may not be eligible for the maximum amount each year.
The Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (FPSLFP) and the Income-Based Repayment (IBR) plan are two options that will allow some borrowers to be eligible for loan forgiveness after 10 years of qualifying employment and loan payments.
The IBR plan considers your adjusted gross income, the size of your debt and the size of your family—and may lower your monthly loan payments. And if you work in the public or nonprofit sectors, the FPSLFP may cancel your remaining debt (principal and interest) after 10 years and 120 qualifying payments.
Use the Loan Simulator to help you calculate student loan payments and choose a loan repayment option that best meets your needs and goals.
